Biography

 

Ronald D. Arena is an experienced litigator who has been representing employers in a wide range of employment matters in California and New York for nearly twenty years.  He has represented employers in federal and state courts around the country in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower, disability, trade secret, and unfair competition litigation.  In addition, Mr. Arena has advised employers on a broad spectrum of employment issues, including disability and other protected leaves of absence, terminations, employment policies and procedures, wage and hour compliance, protection of trade secrets, litigation avoidance, layoffs, and administrative proceedings.  Mr. Arena has spoken on a variety of employment related topics, including workplace privacy, harassment investigations, workplace violence, deposition techniques, trial strategies, and electronic discovery.  Mr. Arena has also published articles on employment-related topics, including mandatory arbitration agreements, and credit reporting legislation.

Mr. Arena received his J.D. from Cornell University in 1997 and began his career as a management-side employment attorney in New York City.  In 2001, Mr. Arena relocated to San Francisco, California, where he has continued practicing management-side employment law.  Mr. Arena received his undergraduate degree in English Literature, cum laude, from Columbia University in 1994.  Mr. Arena resides in San Francisco with his wife and four children.
